If you don't have to, don't stop your plaquenil. I stopped taking the plaquenil the beginning of December. It doesn't agree with my stomach I take it with meals too. And since I hadn't had a miraculous recovery the 6 months I'd been on it, I didn't think there was any harm in stopping it. I have noticed an improvement but it's very little. I have 2 days a week, after my MTX, where I'm just sick. I can't do anything. I've been on the MTX now for about a month and when I see my rheumy in 2 weeks I'm going to see if I can try something else or stop taking it. I don't know if the plaq or MTX or prednisone is what's helping. Medical usesDescriptionTreatmentUseAdministrationResultsRisksPreventionContraindicationsDiagnosisPreparation
